The Mailbox Setup tab enables admin users to manage the automatic download setting by download type, reset login attempts and change the passwords for all mailboxes to which they have access. In addition, the Mailbox Setup tab also displays mailbox information that includes the mailbox name, mailbox IBM machine address, and mailbox description.
Inbox Preferences allows you to control when the download file is made available to your management system by enabling you to configure your mailbox settings to specify which download file types will automatically downloaded to your management system, and which download file types will remain in your Inbox until you are ready to release them. Access to Inbox Preferences is determined by the user’s Role, which must be set to Admin.
By default, all download file types are set to download automatically the next time your management system connects. If, for example, your organization is in a transition period with migrating over to a new management system, you may want to revise the default download settings.
Updated Inbox Preference settings will apply to new incoming files and the files will be accessible in the Exchange mailbox. Files toggled off are assigned an Available status and must be released by a user for download to the management system. Files with an Available status cannot be accessed in the Classic mailbox.
To update the Inbox Preferences for a mailbox, complete the following steps:
Three failed login attempts result in a mailbox being locked. Locked mailboxes cannot be accessed, and files cannot be sent from them. The Bad Logins column for each mailbox indicates how many failed login attempts have occurred: a value of 0, 1, 2, or 2+ displays.
You can unlock a mailbox only if the Bad
Logins count is 2+. To
unlock a mailbox, click on the Reset
Bad Login Attempts button next to the mailbox
name. The bad login number will reset to 0.
From the Actions column, you can change a mailbox’s password. Passwords are managed, but are not visible, within Exchange.
Required: If you change your Mailbox password here you must also change it in your broker management system to ensure continued download functionality.
